Compared to the old Otterboxes, I was surprised that this Otterbox is much thinner and less bulky. It's still going strong though, and although I've only had it a few weeks it seems to be holding up like the old school ones. I haven't been able to drop my phone lately, but the edges of the front of the Otterbox are slightly raised from the front of the phone. So if I dropped it face down, the phone itself would never touch the ground.
