Review on Mavea 1001122 Replacement Filtration Pitcher by George Utley

Replacement filter for my limited use). I was on a permanent replacement filter subscription which means I now have several boxes of filters on my shelf just waiting to be used. Now the jug has completely fallen apart - a small hinged lid cracked a few years ago, and the lid itself is so worn it's not holding up - I have to press it firmly against the body of the jug every time. the time when I try to water, or the pressure of the water inside is pushing the lid and pouring water on everything. Mavea doesn't seem to have any replacement jugs for this setup and as far as I can tell these filters are not compatible with other jugs. So I spent money on filters I can never use. Why does Revain keep selling filter subscriptions for a legacy system that will inevitably (as I read in the Q&A) fall apart and become unusable?
