Just a replacement for my original of the same type. The only reason I'm replacing it is because I replaced my Surface Pro and gave the old one to my cousin. This little keyboard worked great for a few years and still does. It is compact and very handy for its size. The battery life is INCREDIBLE. I am a heavy user and very rarely have to charge it. I use it because I don't like MS Type Cover and I think it's a great alternative. One thing I find worth noting is that it's very responsive even after you've fallen asleep. Many of the smaller "portable" keyboards available often go to sleep and wake up slowly. That can annoy me. This little sucker appears to have it all in the most compact form factor you can find, yet is realistically functional.
