I thought this cap would solve my accumulator problems. It does. Attach the leveling surface to the hold down cover on top of the fryer cover WHEN NOT USING FOOD. I can't stress this enough. Because in my tiny kitchen, if the fryer lid is used at least twice a day every day, we need to find a place to put the lid down and stand. This is how the lid ends up on my clean tea towel basket and the rust always ends up in the wrong place. A small round hotplate is good.
