The seller who sold me this didn't ship it until a week or two after I had already tiled my shower floor (due to USPS delays). There are a few details here that will help you determine the edge you should tile in your shower, so you need to keep that in mind. If you don't follow this rule, the installation will be difficult because your tile will get in the way of this cover. A fairly standard lid - it has no edge, forcing you to be careful when installing the tile. It can accommodate tiles about 2 inches thick. The tile was easy to lay - there is good adhesion between the thin layer and the membrane covering the top of this cover. Comes with a "key" to remove the cover to clear the drain. All in all an overpriced thing as part of an overpriced system, but city inspectors swear by it - they've never heard of the problem coming from Schlueter.
