Not a sturdy build, but good enough. Before using them you need to open the back of the instrument and connect the wires from the battery to the circuit board. They're not meant for a typical home installation, so I connected them with a cord and plug, cut the red 220V wire, routed the wiring inside the light body, and placed one of the lights on top of the kitchen cabinets. . Not difficult if you have wire cutters, zip cord, a plug and basic electrical skills. Coincidentally, a hurricane swept through the power lines that night, and I was very pleased with the well-lit kitchen. They're not very bright, but more than good enough and very welcome when the lights go out. They only lasted a few hours (maybe 4), the battery isn't great but they're good enough.
