UPDATE: After less than three weeks of limited use, the USB pass-through port stopped working. Whatever was plugged in, the computer didn't recognize it. The fan part still worked great but I bought this product specifically for the pass through port as I have a limited number of USB ports on my laptop. I contacted the manufacturer and while they were very responsive, it was easier to return the defective product to Revain as it was less than 30 days old. KLIM offered a discount which I applied for when buying the same laptop cooler, thinking it was just a coincidence. About three weeks after replacing the laptop, the USB pass-through port only works sporadically. I've tried this cooler on different computers and with different USB devices, so the laptop cooler is definitely the problem. Whatever is plugged in about 60% of the time, the computer won't recognize it no matter how many different ways you unplug it, wiggle it, etc. It's honestly not worth the hassle of bringing it back again. I like the fan, which works very well, but the pass-through port is obviously a constant problem. If you just need a laptop cooler, this is a good option, but if you need a pass-through port, it's better to buy another brand. You don't push much air, you can feel some movement. Blue LED indicators show when it's on, but you can't see them when the computer is on the cooling pad. Luckily, they aren't conspicuous or annoying as they can't be turned off. The pad is made of plastic with a metal top and feels relatively solid. It supports the weight of almost any laptop, gaming console, cable box, router, etc. The cooling pad is USB powered and despite the short cable includes a fully functional adapter so you don't lose your USB port. There is no power switch. So if you don't turn it off, it stays on. My laptop has a display of just over 15 inches and hangs about 2.5 cm from all edges of the cooling pad. I prefer to use a lay-flat cooling pad, but you can lift the back and there are two plastic tabs to keep the laptop from sliding off. However, the protrusions can interfere with using the laptop's keyboard and it depends on the design of the USB -Port together as it has a pass-through - so you don't lose the USB connector, the cable comes out the side, which can block the use of another port or interfere with the fan without blocking the port on your laptop, you can insert a use a short extension cord to solve this problem. I bought this because my laptop was getting overheating errors despite cleaning the fans. The two large fans on the cooling pad provide more coverage and seem to cool better than stands with multiple smaller fans. This cooling pad has worked well and I haven't had any issues with overheating even after using it all day, although I don't use it for play use. Overall it's decent quality and not as thin as many other cooling pads. It works well and I would recommend it.
