We placed them in a small silver bucket filled with dried beans to keep them separate and upright. The beans made it easy enough to get around all the tables. We took photos around the table which made 40th birthday dinner that much easier and it was an easy way to remember who was sitting where with whom. When each table finished taking pictures, they put all the items back in the bucket for the next table to choose. A lot of reviews said the glue didn't hold well. The glue dots are designed to be glued sticky side down over the dowels and thus stick to the cardboard, not from the cardboard to the dowels. At least that worked for us. Neither of us had to be recorded throughout the party. Everyone liked them and it added to the fun of the party. I recommend photos of fun dressing up at all parties.
