I just received these today. And I like these. They have some stretch, but also some compression. I'm confused as to why so many reviews are pointing out that the ankle where the cute cut out is so tight. Not at all. Actually very normal. I had no problem getting them on. This is the reason for my quick review. I'd say true to size definitely. If your on the fence, get them. I got the large, they fit perfectly.
