For my glasses they worked. I cannot speak for all glasses though. They were very easy to install, so far have been staying in, and are very comfortable. In the kit there were screws, my glasses had a clamshell like clamp with little posts inside that help the pads in. I did not use any screws, but instead spread open the clamshell like clamp, removed the original, replaced with these and closed the clamp back.
