Excellent sound isolation - wide frequency response

I have been using Etymotic ER-4P headphones for many years. Quite satisfied, only the cable is bulky when used as a sound isolator when working with noisy equipment. As source I use an Iphone 6 in my pocket. I usually use prescription headphones when working with noisy devices, but I wanted to add music. After researching wireless headphones, I settled on the G10. The included earbuds were not set low enough to provide good isolation and resulted in a loss of bass. Being used to the triple flange mount I ordered a few and tried them on the G10. Isolation was excellent but bass was too boomy. When I took off the headphones, the triple flange tips stayed in my ears. I had to remove it with tweezers. It was found that the included ear tips fit the earpiece better than the triple flange. I decided to experiment with inserting a triple flange with the music on. Viola! I've found a happy medium where excellent isolation and bass are also present. Now I've tried listening to snippets of songs I've known for decades to gauge the frequency response. In this test, there were no noisy devices that could interfere. The bass was good. I don't like loud, head-resonating bass. I can play bass guitar without losing my other instruments. I'm a fan of high frequency musical tones and the G10s offer ample support for cymbals, pianos or any other instrument. So far so good, but what about the mids? I consider the texts here as a test. I listened to a few passages to find nuance in certain lyrical passages. Most of them were as I expected, only a few required a slight increase in volume. Considering my reference cost is 10x the G10, I found this really remarkable. I was thinking about getting a better triple flanged tip so I wouldn't need tweezers. Decided to return to the proposals. This time I slightly moistened the supplied tip and inserted it. Because the triple flange is longer, I wasn't worried about getting to the eardrum. Amazing isolation was achieved and frequency response was almost as good as a triple flange. Also, the ear pads stayed on the headphones when removed from the ears. I'm starting to like her. I used the G10 when mowing cross country for three hours with a 19hp zero turn. Then I trim for another hour with a gas trimmer. No problem. There was the usual transient pain of removing the liner, but it wasn't nearly the same as the triple flange. i like her more Battery life - the maximum I've used is 4 hours. I put them in the case and they indicate charging with a little light on each earbud. There are three indicators on the case that show the charge level. I charge the case when an LED on the case lights up. Never lost power during use. The case is small enough to fit in my pocket, so I thought I'd try somewhere else - a doctor's office. I had to keep the volume lower than when mowing. Between isolation and music, I hardly ever heard my name. Now I take a G10 when I expect downtime. You can't go wrong with this. If you have trouble fitting the included earbuds, look for replacement earbuds that have a cut-out that secures the earbud and prevents the earbud from slipping off in your ear. It is extremely important to be in good physical condition. Isolation is key to keeping unwanted noise out while still maintaining good sound. G10 is an exceptional deal - look for a coupon below the Revain price for an even better deal. They gave me everything I wanted - good isolation and good sound even next to loud devices. I would buy them again and recommend them.
