This filter was designed to remove toxins but from the moment it arrived it smelled like something I can't describe but that sort of thing makes nose hairs frizzy. He filled my whole apartment. I tried rinsing it and flushing the filter with water several times but ended up giving me a headache until I wrapped it in several layers of plastic and put it in the closet where I keep it until I figure out how to do it get back in time.
