After using a few cubes in cocktails, I noticed that after a few minutes, small bits of something white appeared on the surface of my drink. It was also somewhat cinematic. When I used other ice molds I didn't have this problem. I'm not sure what this thing is. I have a water softener at home with a 3-stage reverse osmosis system that I use to fill my whiskey ice cubes. Still, I got these nasty white particles. When I washed them they got worse. You can see white powdery substances attached to the product in my photos. Hard water stains are just stains. This material breaks out of the product. I wish I knew what they are but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. The new giant ice cube is fun, but there are probably better ways to do without this product.
