Excellent lightweight wood, smooth and rounded edges, comfortable to hold. She is so beautiful, I am very glad that I was looking for a brush without ads on a stick. It's a good size, not too big and comes with a drawstring carry pouch and cleaning supplies. I had a similar brush with rubber bristles and rounded end bristles. I loved it because it was the best thing I've ever tried for my curly hair that gets tangled even when I'm not moving, but I read a review on another comb that said those smooth bristles don't grab so tight. A: No, and that's great. This silicone bristle is much lighter than rubber. Also the rubber pad of my old brush is torn, deformed and torn after many years; I've read that silicone doesn't do that, so we'll see. After a few days of use, this brush appears to be durable and very reasonably priced.
