Use an NVMe drive (like the WD Black 500GB nvme m.2 I was trying to install) on an old motherboard like mine with an adapter. You must have a motherboard and BIOS that still supports the drive, or you will just end up with a failed driverless PCI device (Server 2012). I call it a loss of investment in education and bitch better buy a SATA SSD tomorrow and just use my SATA :)
