This product can be effective on a hot day. I would use this when sunbathing or just relaxing. I would not use this in active actions. Once my shirt got under the blades, no big deal. My biggest complaint is the vibrations that occur in the neck. I somehow adjust it so it doesn't bother me, but be aware the noise it makes is annoying. The lights are amazing! I haven't tried aromatherapy yet, but I plan to apply eucalyptus oil to keep mosquitoes from attacking me. Personally, this product is useful to me as I spend a lot of time on the road in South Florida. This product cools me down effectively, but has minor drawbacks like noise and vibration. The battery warms up slightly and is only slightly noticeable. I would like the ability to bend the fans at different angles. I'd rather put on fans than wear them around my neck while standing. In general, expect this to work, but don't expect it to cost around $100 compared to big brand devices. You get what you pay for and if you can adapt I say go for it!
