This is a fantastic DVD player. It's almost like having a 2-in-1 player - a great DVD player for our TV that also fits in the car! I bought it on purpose because our other portable player died and we needed a new one for long car or plane trips. After being burned by a cheap RCA model at a local store, I settled on it for its long battery life, dual headphone jacks, remote control and great branding. After using it I was so excited to see that it has a matte screen, so the sun doesn't interfere with the viewing experience and it remembers where you are on the DVD. even *after* you've taken it out and played other discs! It's nice and heavy for a portable player, so I don't feel like it's going to break in two if it falls on the car floor. It also doesn't make any noise when playing - the other cheap turntable we have is very loud until the disc stops spinning. The lid is not wobbly, the buttons are comfortable. We also needed a new home player, but we chose this one instead. Unlike other players, the screen goes black when you connect it to your TV - you no longer have to flip the player to avoid watching the same show on two screens. I am very happy with this player.
