Many of my teacher friends brought a Christmas tree to their classes early and their students wrote down things they were grateful for this year. I wanted to do something similar just for our family. So I took this beautiful little glowing birch tree, then I printed the leaves on thick paper and cut them out and I cut out the whole lace. I gave each family member a pen and 4 pieces of paper to fill out 4 things we were grateful for. We were going to tie them down with rope, but it turned out I could just lay them on the tops of the branches and bend the tops of the branches a bit. It looked wonderful and my whole family loved it. This strengthens gratitude and allows us to remember it even after Thanksgiving. We can make hearts for Valentine's Day or flowers for Easter or other similar ideas. He really has many possibilities, and not just a beautiful decoration. The light is soft and the tree has 3 batteries at the bottom with a switch to turn it on and off.
