A decent amount of mud has caught on even on city water.
I had this filter installed for about 7 months and only changed it because it was New Years and I wanted to see the condition of the filter. My house is connected to the city water supply and the filter caught quite a bit of dirt. When I dumped the filter and canister into the bucket, there was a lot of dirt in the pan and you could see the graduated filter doing its job. I have never noticed any sign of pressure loss in 7 months. I replaced this filter with another one. this time I'm planning a whole year
