Review on MP3 player DIGMA Z4 16GB 16 GB, Bluetooth, black/grey by Adam Mielczarek ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Impressions from the purchase are good, buy.

I was looking for a small, simple push-button (not touch) player with at least 8 GB of built-in memory and always with a bluetooth connection, because when doing extreme sports, the probability of damaging the wired connection (breaking / breaking the wire and / or loosening, breaking the wire landing socket is quite high. I liked it its weight and dimensions, because it falls in extreme sports like Yin and Yang, and therefore it looked all the more like it to me because it practically didn’t take up space. allow you to watch videos, even listen to your own written music mixes in WMA format for example. The bluetooth version of the player works without problems with most portable speakers. But with JBL Flip5, Boombox 2 and other models that have a version of bluetooth 5.1, forget it. The player will not see them for no reason that he has bad bluetooth, but because JBL has such a conservative bluetooth. Although with JBL Flip4, with Marshall Tu fton, Marshall Emberton and Bose Soundlink Mini II Special Edition (I have them all and listed Marshall and Bose like bluetooth 5.0) connects without problems. I use the player year-round, it sometimes hung tightly, but holding the power button for 8 - 10 seconds allowed me to restart it. It is also worth noting that with a small screen size and a large number of songs, it is usually more convenient to scroll through in random playback mode, and when a more or less close composition is found, it is already sorted out sequentially, and this is another drawback in the form of the lack of a fast rewind function. If we proceed from current realities, from price considerations, taking into account all the nuances I have listed, then now that then it does not cost 2.5 - 3 thousand. For this money, now you can take more functional push-button players from Chinese comrades, you know from which platform with a large screen and with bluetooth version 5.0 or even 5.1. The edge of the price for this player, in my opinion, is now 1.5 thousand.

Pros
  • 1) weight and size with a matchbox, fit even in the smallest chest or outer pocket 2) built-in clothespin with rigid fixation on springs for different parts of clothing or other narrow objects 3) the presence of mechanical buttons (I wanted just such that sometimes it was possible to do manipulations blindly) 4) the presence of a mechanical blocking side button to control the player in its upper right side, relevant for lovers of an active lifestyle in order to avoid unnecessary accidental switches and clicks 5) many possible formats for reading 6) the presence of headphones (although in fact I don’t need them since I listen to music through external acoustics) 7) a large amount of internal memory of 16 gigs 8) support for Micro SD cards if the built-in memory suddenly turns out to be small 9) the manufacturer also did not deprive those who like to listen on the wire 10) bluetooth menu registry remembers about 10 devices 11) the ability to listen to the radio (although there are reviews about the lack of quality of his work, so it's debatable) 12) memory of the last listening point, regardless of how the player was turned off (by the user himself or from a discharge) 13) remembers the bluetooth settings, if you set the status to on once, then every time you turn on the bluetooth it will work constantly, i. E. you won’t have to just climb into these settings once again 14) there seems to be a voice recorder, although I have never used it 15) by itself the presence of bluetooth, for which the player was taken 16) a good solution for the volume buttons not in the side, but in the central part (with such miniature sizes, in my opinion the best solution) 17) the presence of a screen allows you to quickly find the desired song than on a player without a screen 18) battery life from new was about 10 - 12 hours in MP3 player mode
Cons
  • 1) a little miserable navigation, i. E. when entering the list of songs in the usual way, the compositions are for some reason randomly scattered. I entered the files menu, there the compositions are arranged more orderly 2) as a consequence of the first shortcoming, until I found out about entering files, I tried to create my own list of songs in the correct order, but I couldn’t put more than 80 songs in one playlist, so this idea disappeared 3) at the moment, the version of bluetooth is already too old (it's 4.0 there). And although the player can connect with most portable speakers with a more advanced version of bluetooth 5.0 and 5.1, the player will not connect with JBL speakers with bluetooth versions 5.0 and 5.1 (it also depends on the loyalty of the bluetooth of the response device). The player did not want to connect with the Behringer Europort MPA 200 BT speaker (it also had bluetooth 4.0) 4) there is no flexible arbitrary equalizer setting, there are only presets that do not change the situation much 5) non-switchable equalizer, which occupies approximately 80 - 85% of the screen area. At first it seems cool, but then it starts to infuriate, but it's impossible to get rid of 6) as a consequence of the 5th point, it is simply impossible to immediately see the name of a long composition, and even more so its modifications (for example, a composition of the same name with different performers) due to a poor equalizer, you have to wait until the ticker mode turns on (reading mode of a single-line operator, is it 'more convenient' than multiline? ) 7) for a more or less advanced user, the performance of the player may seem insufficient 8) I understand that it’s nonsense, but I would like the presence of voice control so that the desired composition at a particular point in time can be turned on by voice command, and not after a series of button manipulations 9) does not apply to the quality of the product, but it is a pity that the player does not come with a small sock or a case in which you could carry the player so that it does not just flounder in a more or less wide pocket, especially during vigorous activity 10) price (took for 2490)
