I have three things I need to connect to my macbook air m2 which two require usb and the third hdmi—and access to the power. As you know, this dongle does NOT have the hdmi support, however it has two usb and 1 usb c connection, to which I can connect another dongle that supports hdmi to it. A PITA, but it'll work and I can have my mac connected to power at the same time. Thank goodness I have that extra one because I connected my mouse to this dongle and first, none of my usb connections sit flush with the dongle, there's about 1/8 inch of the connector exposed and while my keyboard functions fine my mouse stutters all over the place making it super frustrating. I connected my mouse to the spare dongle , it inserts completely, and then I connected it to this dongle (which also has about 1/16" exposed) and lo and behold my mouse behaves as one expects. So was this dongle worth the money I spent on it? I don't think so. Will I return it? probably not because I have things to do and not the time to fool around with returns.
