So I've had this cable for a long time. I. and it's great. I use it on my XB1 with the 2.5 to 3.5 adapter that comes with the XB1 stereo adapter. Works great and is longer than the regular chat cable I have for my version of Halo A50s that plugs into the XB1 controller. I bought an optical cable to connect to the Xbox 360 so I can use audio and chat on both the Xbox 360 and Xbox1.
