Left a mixed opinion about myself. On the one hand, it’s not bad if you don’t particularly find fault, but on the other hand, if you look closely, it’s not at all clear what it’s worth such money for. I am the owner of the Asus RT-N56U router, it has been working until now for about 4-5 years, and I thought when I buy this router I will get a much more advanced piece of hardware compared to my old N56U, but I naively thought . Asus is in no hurry to make a revolution . And the funny thing is that they still release clumsy firmware with a bunch of small and not very problems, which over time only begin to upset. it seems that he gave 2-2.5 times more for a router than an ordinary private costs, but he also received a lot of comfort, opportunities in return, but this will not happen (only if you do not switch to this router from models for 1-2 thousand) . I note that there is no direct competitor or analogue for this router model on the market right now, perhaps it will take its piece of the garden until something more perfect or convenient from other competitors appears. I was very upset by the VPN client function - in fact, when it is turned on, it becomes impossible to fully use the router, I explain, as soon as you turn on the VPN client (using one or another protocol), add static. the route of the necessary network to which you need to go - this completes the full work with the router. this ram begins to drive all traffic to static. the route for the vpn of the client, as a result, your home Internet from the provider disappears. The funny thing is that if you even have 2 asus routers - setting up rules and routes for vpn is not possible as such in principle. it seems that asus engineers - the concept of vpn is reduced only to raising the tunnel and sending everything and everything - only there, there is no other for them . And a lot of time spent on forums on asus routers - proves exactly that. I bought it for 17200 - I'm sincerely glad that I managed to return it. I can’t say that the router is completely an outsider, but apparently I expected to get something more perfect for $ 300 for the house.
