Before I got this brush I used a long flat vacuum to remove lint from the dryer. I also put my fingers in the gap. This brush saves me from the hassle of pulling out the vacuum or manually picking up lint stuck to the bottom or sides. When I first used this brush, I had to brush multiple times in multiple directions. Later times did not require such thorough cleaning. When I ran my hand over the brush to shake off the lint, a cloud of very fine lint particles scattered everywhere, but it's better that those particles are no longer in my dryer. In the future, to catch all those little particles, I will put a brush full of lint in a garbage bag and then run my palm over it to remove the lint.
