Poor design or poor workmanship? It's hard to say, but this unit fell apart in my hands installing it. Upon opening the box, I immediately noticed that the male end of the PL-259 and female end of the SO-239 were not parallel to the barrel assembly. However, I tried the install on the PL side and it didn't do more than half. Upon removal, the entire contents of the barrel crumbled and the female sleeve fell out of the SO-239 insulator. I then saw that both halves of the brass center conductor were bent and apparently broken during initial assembly. It looks like the set screw on the side holding the outlet cylinder was screwed too far into the barrel, causing the flex and misalignment I noticed. I am returning this for a refund not a replacement as I am unsure if they are assembled correctly.
