I was very nervous when I bought it because I wasn't sure if the battery or the charger would work. I honestly chose a charger because it was cheaper than a battery. I suppose if I received the charger and it still doesn't work I would return it and exchange it for a battery. I also felt more confident about buying the charger after reading the reviews. Most said that 1. The lifespan of the charger isn't very long, especially if it's always plugged in (like I had) 2. The charger only has about 2 years warranty (that's how long I had the vacuum cleaner). Delivery was quick, within a week. Plugged in charging cable. The light flashes blue! HOORAY! I charged the battery and vacuumed for the next few hours! If the charging lights are off I would advise buying a new charger and then NOT leaving it on when not in use!
