I needed a shower filter and chose this one. The water jets are sharper and thinner than my old head, but not uncomfortable. The filtered water has helped my skin a lot - I had a reaction to the high levels of chloramines added to the water in the summer - no more rashes after using this filter. I don't know how long the filter media will last, but it seems like it's still working after a month. The lighting is really amazing, I can shower in the room with the lights off and it's very relaxing. They change slowly instead of flashing like they used to. For less than $15 this was a great purchase.
