I have recently switched to reverse osmosis drinking water, not just carbon filtration. The water treatment in my town switched to using chloramine and kept raising the pH, sometimes over 9! As a water lover, I knew that a typical 4-stage EO system like mine removes about 95% of the basic ions on average. I again added potassium and calcium carbonate, sodium chloride and Epsom salts to bring back the necessary ions. Doing this daily won't take long, but it's tedious. I tested the pH of my water before and after adding this product to my system and got at least a 1 full point in pH! I have attached photos to my review as proof. I almost forgot to mention the taste. At first glance it tastes great, but oddly I left the water in stainless steel containers in my fridge overnight and the next day the water took on an unnatural plastic taste. I'm hoping that's the initial taste, so I'll skip a few frozen gallons of water and see if it goes away. If not, I will return this item.
