Yes, I dream of $350 blenders with pretty colors. I'm new to baking so I wanted to try an inexpensive blender to see if I've used it enough to justify the cost. I chose this little blender because it had some pretty cool attachments like a whisk and shaking tool. It also has test hooks but after reading other reviews I didn't expect to be able to use them. But how wrong I was! I bake a few loaves of bread a week and don't mind doing it by hand. I make sourdough bread without kneading, so it's not that much work anyway. When I got the mixer I couldn't help but try the dough hooks. Now keep in mind that I'm working with a wetter batter and I only bake one loaf at a time, and I compare this to mixing by hand rather than a mixer, but I'm really impressed with how much easier it is to get the initial mix ready to rise. I end up hand blending for maybe 30 seconds, but the blender can blend everything else, including the messy gooey part when you mix the wet and dry ingredients. I've been using it for a few months now with no problems and I feel like it's one of the best deals I've come across!
