I wear a half splint after my arm surgery and was only given a thin sweater to wear underneath. I ordered this roll and made a few more so I can change my pad a few times a day - I hate putting the same sweaty pad back on after washing my surgical area! I put them in the washer and dryer and they came through just fine. I made a few of them really long so I could fold them back over the top of the hoop to make a nice case (holds in place with a latch between thumb and forefinger). They stretch a bit and won't last forever, but it's for temporary use only so it's not a problem. The material feels soft and comfortable, absorbs sweat well.
