I was working from home and kept getting "Your internet connection is unstable" when on Zoom. So I figured buying this WiFi connector would help. As described by TP-Link, this helps speed up the WiFi signal in dead zones and improves the quality of the videos you're watching. I installed it last night which took almost 15 minutes and many tries where I finally managed to get it plugged in. After connecting the extender to the router I found that it was only using the 2.4G setting and not the 5G setting which I tried changing to 5G but that didn't work. Today I turned on my laptop and went online. The WiFi connection was only 2 bars instead of the usual 3 and was significantly slower than before. When I went to YouTube to check the speed, the video wouldn't load or play frame by frame. I will be returning this wifi extender asap - it doesn't work or does what it's supposed to.
