Honestly the manufacturer does NOT claim a decent write speed - the description says it's 80MB/s read (which is decent) and "up to 20MB/s" write. So they at least tell you that the write speed isn't great. In fact, my tests showed very inconsistent write speeds. In the first test, it was about 40 MB/s, which is double what the card claims. However, the second time I ran the speed test, it dropped to 30 MB/s and the third time to 24 MB/s. I'm not sure what's going on, but if I remove and reinsert the card, the write speed goes back up to 40MB/s. Overall, you're definitely better off spending the extra $5 for a Micro Center Premium microSDXC card (it's blue and white), which is one of the fastest cards I've seen for the money, with both reading and writing capabilities Write speeds consistently in excess of 90 MB. / s or 85 MB/s. Ultimately, it's not worth saving $5 to get write speeds that are 70% slower than other SD cards in the sub-$30 range.
