Review on Jensen Portable Cassette Player Recorder - AC DC by Richard Surveh

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Go "old school " with this good base unit

Yes... if you have an idea to go "old school" and/or want to use good old cassette tapes, this unit is simple and great equipped works well. In fact, my wife bought it - she's been playing with the local bar band for about 30 years. When they started out in the late 1980s, this portable recorder was standard equipment. It's handy for recording rehearsals, or when you're trying to learn a song on the guitar, or when you're writing a new song and want to play it to yourself - it's a simple, handy device that makes it easy to record - play - rewind - find the right part etc. Why not use all modern digital audio players/recorders? No reason, but many people just find this old technology "familiar and comfortable" - portable devices that record well and play back accurately. Just. Speaking of "modern" - this device is compatible with your iPod, MP3 device or other digital audio format - you connect it via the AUX connection. For example, you can record a program on an iPod or tablet and vice versa. I think it's a reliable, well-built car. The buttons work smoothly, the radio door opens easily. It comes with a built-in microphone as well as a detachable standalone microphone. You can connect it with a power cord or with 4 standard C-cell batteries (batteries not included). I have nothing to complain about and I like everything about this good, simple tape and recorder.
