I was thrilled to FINALLY find a stainless steel kettle with no interior plastic parts. The copper color also looks great on my countertop. This kettle is the perfect size for 2 cups of tea. However, within a week of purchase I noticed a small rust spot (1mmx3mm) where the stainless steel meets the silicone seal. I decided to give it a few weeks to see if the rust spot expands. After 2 weeks the size of the rust has not increased. A tiny bit of rust outweighs plastic. I will probably keep it!
