Once I got the correct size, these shapers were excellent. Comfortable, even for all-day wear. (I wore them for support following abdominal surgery.) Never rolled down. There are 4 vertical steel "bones" above the waist (2 in front, 2 in back) which may help keep the garment in place. They did not show under clothing, and I could not feel them during wear. As for the fit: Based on their size chart, I first ordered a Medium, but had to return them for a Large. I am tall - 5' 11" - so the shaper did not quite come up to the band of my bra, but still gave a smooth look to clothing. And because of the steel bones, I would not recommend wearing these if traveling by air, as it would probably cause you a hassle ging through Security.
