I like the idea of this thing. I use it in my 18 wheeler so it gets used a lot. 10-12 hours a day using my Apple iPhone XS Max. The great thing about this car mount is that the neck of this cup holder really doesn't move at all. It will wobble a little, but that's to be expected when driving on the road. The cup holders in my truck are low enough that a taller device was helpful in getting my phone high enough so I'm not completely distracted from the road while I'm looking at it. This makes it easier to follow directions from the mapping application. This product attaches securely to the car's cup holder mount and hasn't come loose even after weeks of use. The arm is stiff yet flexible, allowing me to move my phone where I want it without it shifting or falling on its own due to gravity or vehicle movement. The device securely holds my large (3 1/4 inch) and heavy (9.7 ounce) iPhone Xs Max in its case. The lower arms can fold out or unfold independently, so I think most phones will have no trouble connecting the charging cable when in a car mount cup holder.
