Review on 💡 Aprilaire 4040 Solenoid Valve Voltage by Bill Dahl

This is an Aprilaire original solenoid. It's cheaper than the Aprilaire website. I had an Aprilaire 700 installed in August 2015 so the part was still under the 5 year warranty. Aprilaire will only honor the warranty if you contact the product installer as they told me when I called. I found this unsatisfactory as it is a simple replacement and there was no way I wanted to pay $125 for a one year warranty installer to come and install this part. This requirement for the installer to replace the actual part renders the warranty worthless! The new Soliniod took about 10 minutes to install and works well. There is a good video on the Aprilaire website that shows how to check if the solenoid is the problem and it helped me. It is recommended to clean the inlet filter and the needle hole on the outlet side once a year. The installer never mentioned any of these things. This product took two days to be delivered - great service!
