When this item first arrived I was very pleased with it. It's attractive and the strap and buckles feel solid. It's not like this. About two weeks later I walked from the car to work with a bag over my shoulder. The belt snapped as I crossed the street, throwing its contents onto the sidewalk. Scratched my beautiful leather case and hit my Microsoft Surface. In desperation, I threw the belt in the trash can outside my office. Looking back I would like to take some photos that I would like to share with you all. The clasp and D-ring are strong on their own, but at first you don't see that they're connected by a VERY thin washer in the form of a clip. This washer flexes slightly under light weight and then falls off. I went to the hardware store to see if I could find a replacement. nope Not only is it almost impossible to find such a clamp/washer, but it turns out you need a special tool to install it. I didn't expect an $8 strap to last forever, but this is ridiculous. Don't waste your time.
