I shave off what little hair I have left on my head and my scalp suffers from dry, flaky skin almost no matter what I put on it. I started using this scrub to exfoliate my head about a day later and it works really well. I usually use it right after shaving and then a few days between shaves. Where I used to have severe itching, tightness and flaking, I now have a much happier scalp. For reference, I first used a scrub on my wife's face that was like very fine, even sand. This material is a bit rougher. I think larger particles are indeed better suited to my particular use case. The smell is great too.
