Ideal for detangling thick, long, curly hair. I use it on wet or damp hair to gently detangle and the grip makes it very comfortable to use. It has a smooth, seamless hand finish and will not snag or break your hair. ETA: I had to lower my rating to a 4. The comb detangles perfectly, but the handle isn't strong enough to withstand a tug through that thickness. , long textured hair, although I unravel about 16 sections. After about 3 months of weekly use, the comb broke where the 2nd prong joined the handle. However, I'm still so impressed with its detangling properties that I'm about to order 2 more and hope they last a little longer. I'm still looking for the highly advertised Jilbere shower comb which I've heard works pretty well on very thick hair.
