As others have pointed out, these feedthrough connectors make terminating Category 5e/cat6 cables much easier than the traditional stripping and crimping of the ends. I simply peel off the shroud, arrange the wires in the correct order, insert them into the connector until enough wires come out the front to cut cleanly and evenly, pulling back the ends slightly so they line up with the contacts on the front are of the terminals and crimp ! I've had 100% success with them as opposed to 40-60% with the normal ones. I will never go back to Impassables and at this price I can afford to keep a jar on the shelf when I need them.
