Learn to Read the Label

I have seen other reviews for this product. It is said that it does not withstand drying and they crumble. Look at the label. The instructions are very clear once you know how to read the general care symbols. Binding 50/50 (50% polyester, 50% cotton). The care label clearly states: DO NOT TRY. The icons look like this: 1. Sink with a temperature of 60 degrees. This means that the maximum water temperature in your washing machine should not exceed 60 degrees Fahrenheit.2. Triangle with X. Do not bleach.3. Iron through with X. Do not iron.4. Circle through with X. Do not dry clean.5. A circle in a square with an X through it. Do not tumble dry. They weren't pre-shrunk at the factory (my impression) so they won't shrink unless you've already booed them and washed them in warm water or thrown them in the dryer. I've also read complaints that they are falling apart. Since Eureka put the instruction "DO NOT PUT IN THE DRYER" ABOVE the symbol in English, it means they are unlikely to age well in the dryer. We've had the original steam pads for almost three years and the only reason I made this purchase was because we lost them when moving house. We've followed the care label to the letter and although the pads are grey, they still work, shrinking minimally and not falling apart. I only give four stars because of the price.
