They are good looking and cats love them. I usually install and assemble things myself, even if the manual says you need help. However, these shelves don't have a "template" to trace on the wall for where to place the anchors, so you'll need to hold the shelf up to mark the dots - the shelf is heavier than it looks and is prone to shifting during markup, which means your anchors will be disabled. You really need to hit the anchors when inserting the screws. I definitely recommend having someone help you with the installation. It probably takes about 5x longer if you do it yourself, plus lots of frustration and extra holes in your walls.
