It has a line down the middle and when you put the ball down it hits the cup but if you look closely you can see darker areas on the mat. These are transport rollers in which the mat was rolled up during transport. The putt rocks back and forth as it moves towards the cup. They are so thin that the stamp does not roll off straight. So when you're trying to determine if you're hitting the ball right, it's hard to judge, but like I said, the putt hits the cup. The material is light and moves when you walk on the material. It's ok and fun to use and I'm busy so I'm halfway through the purchase.
