This is amazing! We have carpet upstairs and hardwood floors downstairs. The wedges don't work either, they slide. These hooks are located directly in the swing door frame. To remove, simply lift up and pull on from the inside. You can mount any hinge without having to bend over. The door also remains wide open. Very happy with it.
