I say: buy if necessary.

Pros: Good size (not super tiny, not huge), glass bottle (said to be inert to salt and spices), decent quality stainless steel lid (probably not as good as 18/8 but time will tell will tell if I trust it). Cons: It's glass and will shatter if dropped (other stylish shakers use very hard and clear plastic that still looks like glass) and mine is stained making the shakers look empty unless very stylish. But 4 stars overall for excellent functionality and good looks.
