You need at least 1 of these with every new ATI card. Note, however, that this is not an "active" Displayport adapter. That means you can't do triple screens with them alone. To do this, you need an active DisplayPort adapter. Outwardly they are similar and work almost the same, but they allow the graphics card to use the third video output. (The card can only output from 2 outputs at a time normally) Just so you know. I bought 3 of these and 2 more were already at home on another PC. After that I had to order an active DisplayPort adapter, so now I have a few just in case. But for the price you can't beat them!
