Review on Mountain Buggy Terrain Stroller Graphite by Donna Hoff

The best and most versatile stroller on the market!

I love Mountain Buggy. If you are looking for versatility, this stroller is for you! This is my second. Initially I had an old Swift model. We lived in the UK countryside at the time and it worked great for navigating the countryside. We used it often to hike the rougher country trails. It was light enough and easy enough to maneuver and fold that it could also be used on public transport. We moved to Southern California and I wanted a new stroller for our newborn baby. Since the mountain buggy wasn't that popular in the US, I did a lot of research to see what else was out there. Nothing compares! Any minor issues I had with the old model have been fixed in the 2015 models. The straps are quick and easy to adjust, fold and release, and the clasp can be quickly attached and removed with a flick of the foot. This time I bought the terrain when I was looking for a runner. I love that it comes with two sets of wheels that can be switched very quickly. I use smaller wheels when I'm walking and bigger wheels when I'm running or exercising. It's one of the few strollers that has a carrycot and parent seat, and it's the only jogging stroller with that option. I have no problem changing seats as I use different seats in different age groups. As a newborn I only used the bassinet and car seat booster. They're easy to swap out. Since there is no seating under the baby bath or car seat (like many other manufacturers), there is additional storage space. This is especially useful when I'm running errands. Instead of buying a separate bassinet I use this for my newborn even when we are at home. This was invaluable after the birth as I had a c-section and was able to easily move him from room to room if needed. I'm starting to use a parent-facing seat that easily converts from a carrycot. I would have preferred the material of the parent-facing seat to be nylon rather than cotton canvas because that material is thinner and not as warm for my little one. However, I bought a liner to solve this problem. The tires were a little flat when they arrived, but that's an easy fix. I didn't have any odor problems. I also have no problem with a wobbly front tire and often ride rocky trails. The front wheel locks when needed (although I rarely use that). It can be operated comfortably with one hand and the sun visor can be adjusted with one hand. I live in a sunny climate so I bought an extra sun visor but haven't had a reason to use it yet. Yes, the steering wheel requires two hands, but I love that it moves when I don't want it to move. It's really quick and easy to assemble and the YouTube videos will help if you have any questions. Customer Service at Mountain Buggy - 5 Stars! I actually had an issue trying to use the skateboard mount and figured out how to remove it when not in use which was not explained in the instructions and videos for the newer models. I have sent an email to Mountain Buggy Customer Service. They responded quickly and apologized for the inconvenience. The instructions refer to older models, not new ones. They not only sent written instructions but also made a video for me about my problem. They also sent me a new longer skateboard storage switch. Also, they followed me to make sure I was happy with their answer. In summary, if your budget allows, this brand is worth buying!
