Review on Battery Charger Rechargeable Batteries Indicator Household Supplies by Dani Alvarez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect for my AM/FM/SW, charges in 3 hours, animated LCD shows progress, highly recommend.

Let me first say that I am delighted with these batteries and charger. I have a couple of AM/FM/SW radios that require three AA cells to be powered. When I used alkaline cells, the batteries fit perfectly. However, I've tried 2800mAh rechargeable batteries from another brand and found them to be very cramped. So tight that I had to pry the third cell out of its bracket with a knife blade. I ruined the battery compartment in the process. Very unsatisfactory. I figured that was the price I had to pay for the larger 2800mAh batteries. I thought that their diameter must necessarily be larger to accommodate a larger container. I was pleasantly surprised when these batteries lasted as long as the alkaline batteries. Also, I didn't have to sacrifice much capacity. I measured the diameters of all three batteries with a digital caliper. Well-known alkali metal grade AA - 14 mm. These batteries are also 14 mm. Another brand that has proven to be too narrow is a 14.27mm diameter - too large a diameter for my radio. I tested these batteries by charging four of them in the charger that came with them. It took about 3 hours to fully charge. I love the animated LCD that shows the current charge level with bars that seem to "fill up". I also like the fact that they use a standard USB power adapter. As soon as I plugged them into my radio, they turned it on immediately. The radio's battery indicator also showed a full charge. Happiness. If you are looking for a high capacity rechargeable battery pack that fits in a standard AA alkaline battery holder, this is a good choice. The charger works fine. I highly recommend them.

Pros
  • AA battery charger
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
