I ordered 4 of these pens. They either never worked, worked about 6 hours or a few days. The latter the company has agreed to replace (they have a 1 year guarantee (but suggested I treated the pen very harshly. The filaments were clogged and when I thought it was clear it went through the top soft Plastic item What they told me Sent for refund while it works best then cost - even a small project takes 1/2 pack if you change colors I'm willing to wait FOREVER to get hold of it changes, and then find that you lose about 1/5 of each stick if it takes away one color and starts on a new color. If they dropped the price to about half their price I'd say it's a fair one Price would be But many projects fail - so there is a huge amount of waste in the multi color packs I almost always ran out of the color I want so you don't get frustrated with chewing a whole pack of one colour fen. It's just frustrating when you start a project and aren't sure if one color is enough for you to complete the project. Also, the handle is very unreliable and takes ages (e.g. sometimes 15 minutes) to heat up. You almost always have to use the hottest setting, regardless of head type, or you'll be waiting forever for the PLA setting to kick in. I really love to paint but after all my paints are gone I sadly have to leave unless they drop the price of refills significantly or give you double the contents of the pack so you don't constantly run out of a paint. The amount of thread pieces is terrible - it's real plastic, if you buy a set of different colors it's about $5 a pack, but if you buy individual colors individually they're $7-12. My mostly yellow "ruby duck" took three packs. of 7.99 strands (ie 75 strands) and I was still looking for more sticks. I'll quickly stop buying a cheaper brand that uses spiral plastic (this will void the warranty) but more than half is wasted - it's not paints I've ever used; I've spent over $200 on filament.
